Industry 5.0 in Our Surrounding: AI & Robotics Webinar

Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology (MSIT), New Delhi, organised the one-day webinar “Industry 5.0 in Our Surrounding” in technical collaboration with Robotic Sir AI India Pvt. Ltd. on 30 July 2025 through Google Meet. The session was designed to help students understand the transition from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0 and explore how Artificial Intelligence, robotics, automation, and human-centric technologies are shaping modern industries.

Led by Mr. Piyush Jain Bafna, Founder of Robotic Sir AI India Pvt. Ltd., the webinar connected engineering and STEM education with real-world developments in AI, humanoid robotics, collaborative robots, embedded systems, and advanced automation. Students explored emerging technologies, global industry trends, and practical pathways for developing robotics and AI skills beyond the classroom.

Industry 5.0 and Human-Centric Automation

Industry 5.0 represents a shift from automation focused primarily on machines toward systems where humans and intelligent machines work collaboratively. The session introduced students to the role of collaborative robots, or cobots, and explained how human expertise can complement robotic automation.

Understanding the Transition from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0

Students explored how Industry 5.0 builds upon Industry 4.0 by placing greater emphasis on human-machine collaboration, sustainability, and personalised production.

AI and Robotics Convergence
